Who am I?
Hello! My name is Kevin Jones and I am the nephew of the founder of History Hats and More, Carol Haven. As a child, I recall visiting my aunt's home and seeing all the sewing and crafting she did. I recall being amazed at her operation and skill with the loom. She would share stories about her travels across the country, meeting new people and sharing her knowledge of history.
I consider it a great honor to continue on with my Aunts business, and hope to serve her customer with the same care and urgency she did.
History Hats and More is a second generation family owned business. Found by Carol Haven, it has been in the business of making custom re-enactment clothing as Just two Tailors (2000-2012) and as Coureur De Bois Trading Post (1980-2000). Carol was an accomplished seamstress specializing in 1700-1812 clothing for men and women.
In late 2015, Carol lost a battle with cancer and left the company to her brother. Seeking to keep Carol's legacy alive, the business is now operated by Carol's oldest nephew.
In mid-2016, the business was resurected and many enhancements made to improve our customers shopping experience. It is our vision to continue to provide the same service Carol provided to her customers
